World-famous salmon runs on the Kenai River — kings, sockeye, and silvers.
The world-famous Kenai River salmon runs draw anglers from around the globe. King salmon arrive in May-July, sockeye in June-August, and silvers in August-September. The Kenai River dipnet fishery for Alaska residents opens July 10 at the mouth of the Kenai River.
