Biography
SunDog is a psychedelic garage-funk rock trio — Abi Sparkman (guitar/vocals), Deven Lind (bass/vocals), and Philip Giannulis (drums) — that formed in 2015 after the three competed together in a high school battle of the bands in Chugiak, Alaska. The band has performed and recorded as a stable three-piece since then.
Their releases include the 2018 debut album Fungus Among Us and the 2021 sophomore album Cabin Fever. The band has been a recurring performer at Salmonfest in Ninilchik, Alaska.
SunDog remains active, releasing the album About You in September 2024 and touring the West Coast. In November 2024 the band performed at the Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík as part of an Alaska music trade mission.
