Salmonfest Music: The Stages, the Genres & How the Lineup Works

At its core, Salmonfest is a music festival — three days, multiple stages, and a lineup that leans into Alaska's love of live, danceable music.

The stages

Several stages run across the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds, so there's almost always something playing. You can post up at a favorite or wander between them.

The sound

Expect a wide mix — rock, funk, folk, bluegrass, reggae, and jam bands — blending Alaska favorites with touring acts. It's an eclectic, good-natured crowd.

How the lineup works

The lineup is announced in the months leading up to the festival, rolling out over time. Weekend passes are the popular way in, since most people want all three days.
