Adam, Jack & Ryan Met (brothers)
AJR are a New York City indie pop group consisting of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. Starting as buskers in Central Park, they taught themselves production and built a devoted following through relentlessly melodic, self-produced pop that's equally comfortable on alternative radio and TikTok. 'Bang!' (2020) and 'World's Smallest Violin' (2022) are their biggest crossover hits; their theatrical live shows lean into maximalist production.
The self-made story
AJR wrote, produced, and recorded their early work in their Manhattan apartment without label support — a genuinely self-built career that resonates with younger fans. They're now one of the top acts in alternative pop.
The sound live
Their shows are dense and theatrical — lots of production, confetti, and audience call-and-response. 'Bang!' is one of the great modern crowd-participation songs; the energy in an outdoor venue will be enormous.
Pro tip
Know 'Bang!', 'World's Smallest Violin', 'Burn the House Down', and '100 Bad Days' — those are the crowd-participation centerpieces of the set.
