Anvik in the race
The first musher to reach the Yukon at Anvik traditionally wins a special award — a gourmet meal served trailside. From here teams turn north and grind up the frozen Yukon.
Mile markers are approximate and shift with the year's route. Anvik sits on the interior leg of the 2027 southern route.
